In 2018 Rondo-Pak, a global print and packaging solutions provider, has continued to increase their capacity and capabilities at their Camden, New Jersey facility with new investments in equipment, technology and personnel. These investments are part of continued efforts to meet the increasing demand for specialty packaging features and smaller lot sizes from their customers in the pharmaceutical industry.
In Rondo-Pak’s Camden facility, a third Bobst die-cutter has been installed which will provide additional capacity and flexibility to their world-class packaging line now capable of producing more than 1.5 billion cartons per year. To increase full plant visibility and maximize output, the AutoCount direct machine interface has been installed in multiple pieces of equipment to provide increased accuracy on real-time production reporting.
In addition to a new Vijuk FA4S SVA Folder that has been added to Rondo-Pak’s folding and gluing lineup, the training of additional personnel has been completed to provide an even wider range of packaging insert formats and sizes. “Our expanding insert capabilities are the perfect complement for our packaging business,” states Bob Reilley, COO Rondo-Pak, “providing our customers with comprehensive packaging solutions and components from one trusted source.”
In 2019, Rondo-Pak has plans to further expand their San Juan, PR facility as demand for pharmaceutical packaging solutions continues to increase on the island. Both the San Juan and Camden facilities are Tier-1 Diverse supplier locations as part of the nationally certified SBA HUBZone program, allowing customers to apply Tier-1 spend from either location.
