SMALL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
The SBA was created to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of the nation.
To qualify for an SBA certification, the company must meet the size of revenue standards matched to their specific industry, described in the North American Industry Classification System. As a commercial printing & packaging company, Rondo Pak operates within the SBA’s classification and is certified on the SBA’s national registry.
HUBZone is another certification from the SBA, and a classification Rondo-Pak is proud to hold. HUBZone, which stands for ‘Historically Underutilized Business Zone’ is a certification given to small businesses located in distressed areas, and helps encourage growth and opportunity in the area. The HUBZone program increases employment opportunities, as well as investment and economic development in these areas.
HUBZones are defined as distressed rural or urban communities with having low median household incomes and high unemployment. The location of these communities is determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Bureau of the Census, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Department of the Interior, and the Department of Defense. We strive to continue our efforts in creating opportunities and stimulating the local and national economies.
